UB40 West Palm Beach Concert reviews
Rodney Carrington
I enjoyed the opening act, Drew (I don't remember his last name). His performance was very good, and the large video screen helped out, especially liked his pre-performance videos and music. I looked forward to see UB40 at Ovens Auditorium in Charlotte, North Carolina. That was playing on the screen before the show started. UB40 came on and had a very good stand-up routine and was very funny. The camera was on him at full body and was very steady and easy to see. The only complaint that I have of the entire evening was that the camera angle on the screen for us to see was from the waist up on UB40. And was shaky the whole time. If I went to another show at Ovens Auditorium, I would definitely sit closer because the camera work on the main performer was horrible. I had to stop looking at that screen frequently and look at UB40 so that my eyes could refocus. It was very aggravating and unenjoyable to watch the screen. This is probably the third event I have seen at Ovens Auditorium.
